Terms of Use
Please read these terms before you book or buy. They explain who we are, what you are agreeing to when you book an experience or buy a gift card or product, and what happens if plans change.
Who We Are & Acceptance
This website, its booking system and its online shop (the "Services") are operated by Demo Ltd ("Demo", "we", "us"), with its seat in Demo Town, Greece.
Company details: Demo Ltd · ΑΦΜ 123456789 · hello@demo.test
By booking or buying through the Services you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version published when you made a booking or purchase is the one that applies to it.
User Accounts & Conduct
Some features need an account. Please give accurate information and keep your password safe: you are responsible for what is done with your account. We may suspend an account that gives false information or is used to break these Terms.
Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the Services in any way that breaks the law, including transmitting harmful content, scraping or harvesting data automatically, trying to bypass security measures, or interfering with the website or the booking system.
Booking & Payment
Places on our experiences are limited, and for each departure we commit to guides, partners and suppliers in advance. A booking is therefore confirmed only once it is paid:
- 1. Payment Confirmation:Full prepayment is required at checkout unless the booking page says otherwise. Your place is held for a short time while you pay; you receive a confirmation email and ticket once payment succeeds.
- 2. Payment Deadlines:For bookings paid by payment link or invoice, payment must be received by the deadline stated in the link or invoice; an unpaid booking is cancelled automatically when it expires.
- 3. Prices & Receipts:Prices are in euros (€) and include VAT. You receive a receipt or, if you ask for one with your company's VAT number, an invoice for every payment, as Greek tax law requires. We are not responsible for currency conversion fees charged by your bank or card provider.
Right of Withdrawal
Experiences booked for a date: A booking for an experience on a specific date or time is a leisure service. Under article 3ιβ of Greek Law 2251/1994 (article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply to it. You may still cancel or change it as described in the cancellation policy below.
Gift cards and shop products: You may withdraw from the purchase of a gift card, or of a product bought in our online shop, within 14 days without giving a reason: for a gift card, from the day you bought it, provided it has not been used; for a product, from the day you receive it. Tell us by email that you are withdrawing; you may use the standard withdrawal form of Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU, but you do not have to.
Refund: We refund the amount paid, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same means of payment. For a product we may wait until we receive it back; you pay the cost of returning it unless the product page says otherwise. Products made to your specification, perishable goods and sealed goods unsealed after delivery for health or hygiene reasons cannot be returned.
Tiered Cancellation Policy
Because our experiences range from small group walks to private events, each one has one of three cancellation tiers. The tier that applies to your booking is shown on the experience page before you pay and in your confirmation email:
Flexible
Moderate
Strict(Private & Tailor-made)
Applied to private and tailor-made experiences that require advance commitments to partners and suppliers.
*Where a 50% refund is issued, the amount retained covers costs already committed to guides, partners and suppliers for your booking.
Changes & No-Shows
Date Changes: You may ask to move your booking to another date within the full-refund window of its tier, subject to availability. Requests outside that window are considered case by case.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows: If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the meeting time without letting us know, the experience may leave without you. A no-show is treated as a cancellation less than 48 hours before the start.
Cancellations & Changes by Demo
We may need to change or cancel an experience in the following cases:
- Minimum Participation:Some group experiences need a minimum number of guests, stated on the experience page. If it is not reached, we tell you at least 48 hours before the start and offer another date, a private upgrade at the price difference, or a full refund.
- Weather, Safety & Force Majeure:If weather, sea conditions, an official order or another event outside our control makes the experience unsafe or impossible, we offer another date or a full refund. We are not liable for other costs you incurred, such as flights or accommodation.
- Partners:If a guide or partner cannot take part, we find a suitable replacement where we can. If we cannot and must cancel, you receive a full refund.
Health, Safety & Conduct
Health & Requirements: Please tell us when you book about any allergies, dietary needs, medical conditions or accessibility needs relevant to the experience. Some activities ask each participant to sign a declaration before taking part; a parent or guardian signs for a minor.
Emergencies: If someone is taken ill or injured during an experience, our staff stop the activity, give first aid where they can and call the emergency services. Medical costs are the guest's responsibility; we recommend travel and medical insurance.
Conduct: Please follow the instructions of our guides and crew, respect the places we visit and the people who live there, and leave no trace in nature. Where alcohol is served, our staff may refuse it to anyone who has had enough or puts the group at risk.
Gift Cards, Vouchers & Shop
Gift Cards: A gift card can be used towards any experience until the expiry date shown on it. Any unused balance stays on the card for a later booking. Apart from the withdrawal right above, or where the law requires, a gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. If a booking costs more than the balance, you pay the difference.
Discount Codes & Vouchers: Discount codes and vouchers are valid on the terms stated when they are issued, are usually single-use, and cannot be combined unless stated.
Online Shop: Delivery costs and times are shown at checkout. Products come with the legal guarantee of conformity under Greek and EU law; please tell us if a product arrives damaged or is not as described.
Intellectual Property
The content of this website (text, photographs, graphics, logos, video and software) belongs to Demo or is used under licence, and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.
You may view the website for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, distribute, modify or publicly display its content without our prior written consent. If you send us reviews, testimonials or photographs, you allow us to use them free of charge to present our experiences.
Liability
Many experiences take place outdoors or at sea and involve physical activity. We take every reasonable precaution, and the guides' instructions are there for your safety; you take part knowing that such activities carry some inherent risk.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our liability for any claim about a booking or purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited (article 332 of the Greek Civil Code).
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
Disputes are heard by the competent courts of Demo Town, Greece; as a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the place where you live.
Before going to court, please write to us: most problems are solved quickly. Consumers may also turn to the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or, for a purchase from another EU country, to the European Consumer Centre Greece (www.eccgreece.gr).
